The sun came out and greeted everyone Friday at the Crystal Rock Pro-Am Sprints Presented by Mohegan Sun, and it looks like it just may stay awhile.
The forecast for Memorial Day weekend keeps improving and the likelihood of any wet stuff keeps diminishing.
Saturday and Memorial Day both look good.
Saturday’s forecast calls for mostly sunny skies, high temperatures in the low 70s and only a 20 percent chance of rain.
Monday’s outlook is almost a carbon copy; partly cloudy conditions with a high of 71 and just a 30 percent chance of rain.
On Saturday come out to see Round 1 of the Mazdaspeed Miata Cup and nine race groups from the Sports Car Club of America New York Region. It’s a full day of racing for just $20.
There’s a six-pack of sprint races waiting for you at Lime Rock on Monday.
The eclectic mix of classes include Stock and GT groups in the Memorial Porsche Challenge, Vintage Sports Car Club of America (VSCCA) and SCCA Historic Racing Group (HRG) groups, the “2nd Annual” 35th Anniversary of Formula Ford and Round 2 of Mazdaspeed Miata Cup.
Practice and qualifying begins at 9 a.m. and the first of six races is scheduled to start at 2 p.m. Tickets for Memorial Day are only $25.
